Printing - How to Add a Network Printer in Windows 11

This document details how to add a network printer on a Windows 11 machine.

1. Select within the Windows search bar

The Windows Search bar is in the bottom middle of the home screen.

2. Enter the following based on your location:

Network Printers
Location Type
Green Bay Campus  \\fpsd\
Manitowoc Campus \\man-print-1
Marinette Campus \\mnt-print-1 (HP Printers) or \\fpsd (Ricoh)
Sheboygan Campus \\shb-print-1

"Run command" will be the top option of the pop up.

3. Press "Enter" or double click on "Run command"

4. A window will pop up with the available printers on that campus. Find your printer and double-click it to install

        a. You can scroll (the printers are alphabetical), or you can search your printer's queue name in the "Search fpsd" bar

***NOTE: All network printers should have a label on them with the printer queue name***

"Search fpsd" is in the top right corner of the printer page.
