KB User's Guide - Documents Tab - Viewing Who Last Updated a Document

The Last Updater attribute captures the user who most recently edited or published a document. This is useful in spaces where authors other than the owner may be responsible for making changes, or when other users are responsible for publishing.

Viewing the Last Updater in an Individual Document

When viewing a document in the KB Admin Tools, you can find the Last Updater attribute included in the document information section at the bottom of the page:

Last Updater is the second-to-last entry in the document information section. It displays the user's full name and email address.

You can also find this included in the Quick Info window, which can be opened via the More dropdown button on the document review screen, or the Options dropdown button on the document edit screen.

Viewing the Last Updater on Multiple Documents

When you are viewing a list of documents in the KB Admin Tools, you can choose to display the LastUpdater column in the documents table.

In the "Search / display filters" area, click the Show advanced options link. A row of checkboxes will appear that allow you to display additional columns. Check the LastUpdater checkbox to add this column to the table, which will then list the fully qualified username (i.e. username@domain.edu) of the individual who last edited the document.

The LastUpdater checkbox is the last checkbox in the list when Advanced Options are displayed in the Search / display filters section.
