Kaltura Classroom - Adjusting the Live Stream and Recording Players

This guide details how to use the Kaltura live player controls to watch a recording or live stream made with Kaltura Classroom in a UWGB classroom.

This guide has two sections:

  1. Watching a live stream
  2. Watching a recording

Watching a Live Stream

Kaltura Classroom currently only supports viewing the primary input during the live stream. Due to the default video player setup, the primary input may default to the smaller picture-in-picture window inside the player and the majority of the player can be black. Viewers can switch to a full screen view of the primary input with a few quick clicks:

  1. Click the Toggle View (two arrows) button to swap the video into the large section of the screen.

Watching a Recording

You can use the same player buttons that are detailed above to adjust your view while watching a recording. Primary and secondary video sources can be swapped with the Toggle View button, and viewers can choose between Single View, Picture In Picture, and Side By Side viewing layouts. In Picture In Picture view, the viewer can click and drag the smaller video window to reposition it within the larger video player. The smaller video window can also be resized by clicking and dragging at the small window's corner.
