Services provided by the CIT student Residence Life Help Desk employees

· Advise UW-Green Bay residential students on how to best configure their personal computer, to communicate with the Resnet campus network.


· Advise UW-Green Bay residential students on the recommended computer configurations, specific to Ethernet/Network cards required to connect to the Resnet campus network.


· Visit UW-Green Bay residential students rooms to assist in verifying jack activation and consult on the setup and configuration of the Internet connectivity to the Resnet network.


· Consult and answer questions pertaining to the uses of the campus network and campus lab computers from the residence life complexes.

 

This the service center cannot do:

 

Repairing or installing hardware of the student’s personal computer (including network cards).
Repairing or installing software on the student’s personal computer.
Instructing students on the uses of email, Internet or any other software applications.
On-site services will not be provided without the consent and presence of the student residing in the room or apartment.
On-site appointments missed by the residential student must be rescheduled with the Residence Life Help Desk or the campus CIT Help Desk.
