Setting Up Campus IMAP E-Mail with Apple Mail
1.) Navigate to Mail > Preferences from the menu bar with the Mail application open. With the preferences open to the accounts page click the plus in the lower left hand side to add an account. If your Mail.app has never be used skip to step two as this will be your first account.
This document covers how to set up a campus e-mail account using IMAP with SSL. This is an alternative for those who want only mail functionality, or those that use systems that do not work with the new MAPI Exchange 2007 or higher protocol.
2.) Fill out the add account info with your own, and click "Continue".
3.) Incoming Mail: Select the account type IMAP, and use the server name "owa.uwgb.edu", and enter your account info; click "Continue".
4.) Outgoing Mail: Enter the server name "owa.uwgb.edu" to the mail server box, and make sure to check "Use Authentication"; click "Continue".
5.) Confirm that the account is set to use SSL and go online; click "Continue".
6.) Preferences will reappear with the info we just added. You may close that window.
7.) Apple Mail will now pull in your mail. This may take time depending on your mailbox size.
