Resetting a Quiz for a Student in D2L

This document illustrates how to reset a quiz for a student in D2L.

Resetting a completed quiz/exam

  1. Logon to D2L and select your course.
  2. Click on Quizzes in the navigation bar.
  3. Click on the drop-down arrow next to the quiz/exam that you want to reset and choose Grade
  4. Click on the Display Options link.
  5. Place a check in the Allow Reset checkbox.
  6. Click the Save button.
  7. Place a check in the attempt checkbox for the student that you want to reset the quiz/exam for.
  8. Click on the trash can icon.
  9. Click the Yes button in the confirmation box.
  10. The quiz/exam should be deleted and the student can take it again.

Resetting a quiz/exam in progress

    1. Logon to D2L and select your course.
    2. Click on Quizzes in the navigation bar.
    3. Click on the quiz/exam that you want to reset.
    4. Click on Grade.
    5. Click on the Display Options link.
    6. Place a check in the Allow Reset checkbox.
    7. Click the Save button.
    8. Click on the Restrict to: dropdown and select “Users with attempts in progress”.

9. Click on Search.
10. Place a check in the attempt checkbox for the student that you want to reset the quiz/exam for.
11. Click on the trash can icon.
12. Click the Yes button in the confirmation box.
13. The quiz/exam should be deleted and the student can take it again.
