Best Practices using the Internet of Things (IoT)

There is a limit of three devices that you will be able to connect to IoT, so be mindful of which devices you would prefer to connect via ethernet. 

Below is a list of some devices that students may have with them when living on campus.

We recommend connecting gaming devices to ethernet because it provides a more reliable connection. Devices that do not have an ethernet port will have to be connected to IoT.


MAC Address Locations

A MAC address is required to register a device on IoT. Each device will have a slightly different process for finding its MAC Address. Use the links below to find your device's MAC Address. If you do not see your device listed below, you can search on Google for how to find the MAC address for that specific device.
