This document describes how to request a temporary network account.
Accounts - Account Maintenance Policy
Network accounts for faculty and instructional staff are created the day after all new hire information has been received by the Human Resources office and been entered into the Human Resources System. Network accounts for classified staff, non-instructional academic staff, and LTEs are created two weeks prior to the start date provided all new hire information has been received by the Human Resources Office and been entered into the Human Resources System.
If an account is required for a couple days to a week, we have guest accounts available at the Help Desk.
Accounts for other persons can be requested for University related activities and are subject to approval by one of the University officers. For these accounts, a current employee needs to act as a sponsor for the account. This sponsor agrees to act as a contact to resolve any issues related to use of the account. If the account request is granted, the sponsor will receive an email with the account username and initial password.
