Qualtrics - Survey Platform Service Overview

This document provides an overview of the Qualtrics XM survey platform, including how to log in to Qualtrics, where to get support, and frequently asked questions.

Qualtrics Overview

Qualtrics XM is a platform for creating and distributing surveys and analyzing survey data. UW-Green Bay pays for a Qualtrics license that allows all students, staff, and faculty to use the Qualtrics survey platform. Qualtrics provides a variety of options for distributing surveys, such as embedding the form on a webpage or sharing the survey's "anonymous link" via email. The platform has a robust tool set for analyzing, filtering, and exporting data collected from surveys which makes it an ideal tool for conducting research (ex: satisfaction surveys) or collecting participant data (ex: event registrations).

Logging in to Qualtrics

Sign in with your UWGB email and password at uwgreenbay.ca1.qualtrics.com. If you are faculty, staff, or a student worker, you will be asked to authenticate with Duo when you log in.

How do I increase my survey limit?

UWGB users can remove the 10-survey limit on their account by following the steps in this knowledgebase guide.

How do I share a survey with someone else?

You can share access to a survey with Qualtrics' collaborate feature. This knowledgebase guide has step-by-step instructions in the section titled "Granting Survey Access to Someone with a UWGB Account."

How do I transfer a survey to another user?

A survey owner or the direct supervisor of the survey owner can submit a Qualtrics survey transfer request to gbit@uwgb.edu.

Why can't I or my collaborator access our shared survey?

The "Survey Access Troubleshooting" section of this knowledgebase guide provides some troubleshooting steps if you or someone you have shared a survey with has trouble accessing a shared survey.

What should I do if I still need help?

If you run into issues or have questions, try searching the Qualtrics support database for an answer. If you can't find a solution online, you can also open a ticket with Qualtrics support.
