Impero Instructional Software

This document details Impero, the software used in UW0Green Bay's instructional labs to manage student computers.

GBIT has licensed Impero instructional software for all computer classrooms in the IS 1129 GAC lab, the CL 102 Writing lab, the MAC 122 Computer Science lab, the WH 114 Finance Lab, WH 327 computer lab, and SHB 1120.  If it's desired in any other lab, please put in a request with gbit@uwgb.edu and we will see if we can accomodate.

Instructors can use Impero to:

Monitor student screens, project the instructor's monitor or another student screen to all students, receive questions from students via Impero chat, and instructors also have the capability to blank all screens, disable mice and keyboards, or block applications to ensure that students aren't distracted.

Please note that Edge browser will not work on any computer that has Impero installed.  This is due to the software not being able to see what Edge is displaying.
