Creating space in Outlook

Manage the size of your mailbox by using any or all of the following methods:

Method 1: Empty Deleted Items:

1. From the Home tab, right-click Deleted Items (2).

2. Click Empty folder.

Method 2: Empty Junk Mail:

1. From the Home tab, right-click Junk Email (2).

2. Click Empty folder.


Method 3: Delete Attachments on Emails:

1. First, sort the emails by their attachments. Then click on Attachments (2).

2. Open an email with an attachment.

3. Click the drop down arrow on the attachment.
4. Click Remove Attachment.

To save the document that is being deleted:

1. First, sort the emails by their attachments. Then click on Attachments (2).
2. Open an email with an attachment.
3. Click the drop down arrow on the attachment.

4. Click Save As and save to the computer.
5. Then select Remove Attachment.

Method 4: Delete by Size:

1. First, sort the emails by their size. Then click on Size (2).

2. Delete emails that are no longer of any use.
