Kaltura - Videos don't display in Canvas Group Discussions [Updated]

Update: This issue was resolved on 06/19/2019. The fix is not retroactive; Kaltura videos which were previously inserted in Canvas Group Discussions will need to be re-inserted in order to work correctly. Videos inserted in Group Discussions from now on should work correctly.
Kaltura is the video portal for Universities of Wisconsin institutions. It enables instructors, students, and staff to upload, store, stream, and share (or restrict) videos in Canvas. Users are currently unable to insert Kaltura videos into Canvas's Group Discussions area.
Kaltura My Media allows users to insert videos in most areas of Canvas, including typical Discussions. In Group Discussions, however, Canvas doesn't display videos inserted through the rich text editor. Instead of the Kaltura video, Canvas displays a version of the course homepage with a content loading error.
Canvas Group Discussion page with an error in the place of a Kaltura video.

Affects:

All Canvas users who use Group Discussions.

Status:

Resolved.

Workaround:

Users can use Kaltura embed code instead of the rich text editor to insert videos. Follow the instructions in the "Insert with HTML Embed Code" section of the Kaltura - Inserting Videos in Canvas guide.
This allows users to successfully use Kaltura videos in Group Discussions.
