Switching out of S Mode in Windows 10

This document outlines how to switch out of S mode should you run into trouble installing GlobalProtect.

1. To check if your PC is running in S mode, go to Settings > System > About.  You will see there that your PC is in "S mode."

2. Go to Settings > Update and Security > Activation.

3. Find the Switch to Windows 10 Home or Switch to Windows 10 Pro section, then select the Go to the Store link.

4. On the page that appears in the Microsoft Store (Switch out of S mode or similar page), select the Get button.  After you confirm this action, you'll be able to install apps from outside the Microsoft Store.
