Microsoft Teams - Setting Teams as the Default IM Client for Outlook
This document details re-activating the feature in Outlook that shows someone's Skype availability when composing a new email. This feature is interrupted once Cisco Jabber is installed.
***NOTE: Teams allows you to set it as the default IM client directly from within its Settings dialog.***
1. Select the three dots in the upper right-hand corner of the Teams application.
2. Select "Settings."
3. Scroll down until you see an Applications section, and select the check box next to "Register Teams as the chat app for Office (requires restarting Office Applications)."
