Emotet / Trickbot malware on the rise
UWGB IT security has received increased reports of emails containing attachments or links to the malware known as Emotet or TrickBot.
Please be extra cautious with urgent emails that contain attachments or links to attachments. The subject lines of the emails typically reference invoices, shipping notices, or other business needs. Recently we have also received reports of the Emotet emails that are reporting a found student ID that the sender would like to return.
As always if you are suspicious of an email forward it to abuse@uwgb.edu and we will check it out.
