Workshops

CIT schedules an assortment of technology workshops, most of which are one hour in length. Pat Theyerl is also available for department-specific training sessions. If a department needs to learn a special software function (for example: mail merge or lookup tables in Excel), Pat can tailor a training session for that need. In addition, if depts have a new employee starting, they can contact Pat to set up an individual training session for that person. Suggest that they may also want to learn about our GBShare collaboration environment for use by a department, committee, course, organization, etc.

These workshops are completely free and available to all faculty, staff, and students at UW-Green Bay. Sessions are conducted in the Learning Technology Center's instructional lab (IS1004) or a General Access lab classroom (IS1129). The complete workshop schedule with course descriptions is posted on the Web at http://www.uwgb.edu/cit/training/workshops/ Our web-based system can be used to view course descriptions and enroll in workshops. Users will receive an email confirmation for their enrollment and a reminder a few days before the workshop date.

The student interface is located at: http://www.uwgb.edu/learntech/workshops/index.asp

Students enroll themselves, an email message is sent to the student and a link is included in the message for them to unenroll themselves. If they no longer have the email message, Pat Theyerl would like any changes forwarded to her, she will unenroll them.
