Remote file access to network shares from a browser

This explains how to view files in a network share using your browser.

To view your network share in a browser you must type the following into the URL bar: https://(servername) In most cases, the server name is going to be fpsa for faculty and staff and fpsb for students.

Do not keep the "$" ex: outreach$ would be just outreach

The following is an example for a M: drive.

Once you load that page, a popup should appear asking for your username and password. Make sure to use your full UWGB email address in the username field, and your standard password.

You should now be able to use the browser to navigate through your network share.

Note: This will work on all modern browsers(Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Opera). Also, while you can download and view your files using this method you can not upload or change any of the files on the directory.
