Java Security and Temporary Files Changes

This document covers how to fix issues with Java and it's security settings. This can help with sites such as my cog lab.

1.) Open the start menu and search for Control Panel and click on it.

Then click on the Category drop down menu and then on large icons.
Select large icons

3.) Select Java from the panel.
Select Java

Click on the Temporary Internet Files "Settings" button:
Click the settings... buton

5.) U
ncheck the “Keep temporary files on my computer” box. Also click the "Delete Files..." When that comes up check all the boxes you can and click ok.

Check the boxes and delte files

6.) Click Ok to return back to the main settings windows.
Click ok

7.)
Click on the security tab and pull the Security Level bar down from High to Medium. Then press apply and then ok.
Change the settings to medium

8.) Navigate to your site (ex: Coglab) and if asked to "run" or give permission please do so.
