Note: You can actually put a Kaltura recording anywhere you can provide "rich text."
Give your post a subject.
Put your cursor in the body of the post and click the "insert stuff" button.
A new window will open. Click "My Media" > "Add New" > "Webcam Recording"
Since the webcam recorder requires Adobe Flash, Firefox will ask your permission to open it. Click "Allow..."
If you are not prompted, or accidentally close out of this grey bar, click the "block" in the upper left-hand corner of your window and select the option to "Allow and Remember" Adobe Flash:
Even still, you may need to allow the application (and Flash) access to your webcam. If this window pops up, click "Allow." If this window does not pop up but you see the empty black box, click "Flash Settings" below the buttons and timer. The box will pop up and you can select Allow.
Once you've allowed Flash & your webcam, "Flash Not Available" will disappear and "Connecting" will appear below the recording area.
Start your recording by clicking "Record" and clicking "Stop" when finished.
When you're done recording, click "Next"
Kaltura will upload. You can provide your video with a title and description.
Click Next again.
* Don't forget to click Insert. *
You will see your video show up in the post window. You can also provide text below your video.
Click Post when finished.
