How to Launch Blackboard Collaborate
This documents the process for joining an online room in D2L using the Blackboard Collaborate Launcher.

Click on Online Rooms in the Navigation Bar:
Click "Join", and then it will redirect you to a page where you can download Blackboard Collaborate Launcher:
In order to join the room you need to use Blackboard Collaborate Launcher. Once you click on "Join Room" another screen will open where you will be asked which launcher version you need (Windows or Mac). Select your version and then click "Download."
The download will begin in your downloads folder (with Firefox, we can see it at the bottom of the screen).
Once it's finished downloading (1) double-click the file, and (2) another screen will prompt you to "run" the installer:
The Installer will prompt you to click "Next:"
Then click "Install:"
The installer will run, and once it's complete the status bar will be green:
You'll need to click "Finish:"
Now, you need to click the "Join" button:
Your meeting will download (at the bottom for Firefox, again, but can be accessed in downloads with the file name meeting.collab). Once it's finished downloading double click it to access the room:
If you're working on a campus computer you may have to allow some security access because Blackboard uses Java to launch the window you hold your session in. If the screen below appears, click "Allow Access."
Note: If you are not the administrator on the computer, another screen [not pictured] will ask you for your administrator username and password to allow this access. If you are not the administrator you will not have the permissions to download software, so click "Cancel," and your Blackboard session will be loading behind the administrator screen. Your blackboard session will still be functional.
