How to Upload a Mobile Recording with Kaltura MediaSpace--Apple Device
This article shows students the steps to upload a mobile recording to their My Media space.
Use the Kaltura MediaSpace App from your Apple device to create a mobile recording that you can access through My Media within D2L.
Click on the app, and it will remember the URL: media.uwgb.edu from when you first installed the application, though you will need to log in to D2L in order for your recording to save properly.
The app will load, and then you'll be on the My Media page for UWGB. This is a generic page, so you need to log in by doing the following:
Step 1: Login to D2L through this button, it'll take you to the internal login page for D2L.
Step 2: Enter your UWGB credentials
Step 3: The page will allow you access to upload media
Step 4: Choose a file to upload by taking a photo or video
Step 5: Allow the app to access your camera/microphone, and choose the video option. You can turn your device, and the mobile recorder will rotate the video so that it appears correctly.
Step 6: When you're finished you can Preview, and then Use (Upload) the video
Step 7: The upload will complete, and you can change the title of the video here, and check the user agreement box. You can also "tag" the video in case you have many, and will make them easily searchable. Click "save."
The Mediaspace app does not allow users to embed videos from the app, so if you want to put a Kaltura video in a discussion post you'll need to log into D2L from a computer and follow these directions.
