    • Email - enter mailto: before the email address (eg: mailto:webdev@uwgb.edu)
    • Phone - enter tel: before the telephone number (eg: tel:9204652095)
  • Or you can click Select and use one of the following options:
    • Pages - link to a page within the site's content tree.
    • Media - link to a media file located in one of the site's media libraries.
    • Attachments - don’t use this option.
  • To remove the currently selected file or page form the selector, click the Clear button.

Email and Phone Links

Email address and phone number links require a prefix to identify the source.***

Type Prefix Example Link Action
Email mailto: mailto:webdev@uwgb.edu Creates an email.
Telephone Number tel: tel:920-465-2111 Makes a phone call.

Insert a Call-to-Action Link

  • Insert your cursor into a widget where you want the Call to Action link to go.
  • Click the Insert Call to Action icon and click either Arrow Button or Arrow Link from the drop-down menu and the styled link will appear on the page.
  • Edit the text. Click and drag to select call to action text, leaving the first character and type or paste in the new text. Go back and delete the first character.

If you don’t leave the first character, you’ll lose the call to action formatting.

  • Click the link to open the link options and click the Edit Link icon.
  • Click Clear to remove the default link and either directly paste a link to one of the following:
    • External Resource - copying the full web address.
    • Relative Address - omitting https://www.uwgb.edu, but keeping the first / through the last slash. Do this for links to pages that don’t exist yet in Kentico 13, but will.
    • Email - enter mailto: before the email address (eg: mailto:webdev@uwgb.edu).
    • Phone - enter tel: before the telephone number (eg: tel:9204652095).
  • Or you can click Select and use one of the following options:
    • Pages - link to a page within the site's content tree.
    • Media - link to a media file located in one of the site's media libraries.
    • Attachments - don’t use this option.
